STOPS is a brand new UK based Campaign Group that has been established to highlight the impact the Child Maintenance Service (CMS) has had on both non-resident and resident parents. Along with its predecessor, the Child Support Agency (CSA), STOPS can demonstrate that the actions and procedures of the these organisations have led to too many people taking their own lives.
This website is about STOPPING this dreadful outcome. It is not about a bunch a moaning so called, by the press, “Dead Beat Dads”. This is about dead mums and dads and children and relatives who have lost loved ones following the poor interventions by the CMS, a terrible lack of due care and abhorrent levels of mal-administration.
Causing people to take their own lives must STOP and STOPSuicides’s mission is to make sure that happens and to professionally advise the UK Government on how to prevent such outcomes in the absence of specialist knowledge of the causal links that create antisocial impact.
We are a volunteer Group. We are NOT funded by the State and therefore NOT influenced by the narratives established by the Department For Work and Pensions though we intend to advise and recommend corrective actions to the Department as we enagage with our elected Politicians and State Officials.
